Umpteen

it starts like every other
day by day it’s the same
get up, wash up, eat up, press on
the pattern repeats, drives insane
often it is perspective
that robs us of beauty and change
pull back and see the big picture
refocus and grow, rearrange
as the spider is a jewel when magnified
and history clearer in hindsight
so, our days and our lives have meaning
when viewed from outside the limelight
