(Notes from 9/2/1998) “God’s Sovereignty in All the World”

It is amazing to me when I read the Psalms from my Christian perspective. How could they have made sense before Christ? People who really understood them must have had messianic knowledge.

Here I see God in control and overcoming the nations that attempt to go against His ways. I am reminded of the world today with presidential scandal, economic troubles from corruption in Russia, and terrorism in the headlines. (Wow! Looking back on this over two decades later, I am also reminded how little things change. Oh, and this was three years before 9/11!)

YHWH overcomes, giving His Son the nations. All the nations are Christ’s. He came for the whole world. And those who do not accept Him will be destroyed. The nations must hear.

They need to be instructed. Serve God. Kiss the Son. Take refuge in Him.
