Worry

scrape and scratch and
dig through a marble wall
with a spoon and dent it
if you can
brood and hatch and
dream up a wonderwall
find a chance to forestall
fate’s dark plans
fret and flurry and
tilt against imaginary
threats no worse than
bogeymen
