fuss is not divine
God is the maker
of creation
fingerprints just the
hint of His might
when stuck tween a rock
and a hard place

(Notes from 9/18/1998) “Covenant, Kingdom”
I think I may have an answer to my question. (From the day before, See PS17) It’s possible that the Psalms, in reflecting on the coming of God’s Kingdom, are not claiming perfection for David. Instead, David understands that relationship is the basis for salvation in covenant. He is not righteous due to his actions, but rather his relationship.
This Psalm is good for an answer to the question because it shows God’s Kingdom coming in David. This is a kingship psalm (3, 21, 98).
My favorite image in this psalm is in vv. 7-15. I love seeing God in nature, and storms and the sky show Him impressively. That is one of my favorite things about Texas, especially West Texas. Big skies showing God.
