Topic: Gothic VI
The forest breathes, watches, and waits
With sunken eyes and ominous gates
Pathways to a darkness of old
Deep and dank and decayed and bold
Inviting kids to test the fates
Black trees lean in as silence grates
Sharp branches claw at shadowed states
A whisper chills the blood grown cold
The forest breathes.
No lantern shines, the night seeps hate
A hollow hush anticipates
Dread stories children once were told
Of spirits lost, their names untold
A truth too dreadful to relate
The forest breathes.
With sunken eyes and ominous gates
Pathways to a darkness of old
Deep and dank and decayed and bold
Inviting kids to test the fates
Black trees lean in as silence grates
Sharp branches claw at shadowed states
A whisper chills the blood grown cold
The forest breathes.
No lantern shines, the night seeps hate
A hollow hush anticipates
Dread stories children once were told
Of spirits lost, their names untold
A truth too dreadful to relate
The forest breathes.
