U2 Albums Ranked
I was listening to my music the other day and my son said, “This is probably one of my top 3 U2 songs.” That caused my to think, I haven’t ever ranked my favorite U2 songs, or albums, for that matter. U2 did feature heavily on my top 20 Albums post years ago.
Here is my ranking of U2 Albums. I can quickly throw together a top 50 songs list, but I need to revisit their earliest and latest albums again to be sure. So that will come later…
16. Songs of Experience
(I need to listen to this one more than the couple of times I have so far.)
15. Songs of Innocence
(I’ve listened to this one a bit more, but not enough to opine.)
14. October
(Sophomore slump? Or overshadowed by Boy and War?)
13. Zooropa
(I did not like this one at the time.)
12. No Line on the Horizon
(This was the start of a slight downturn for the band with me.)
11. Wide Awake in America
(Not really an album, but whatever.)
10. Pop
(I liked this one a bit better than Zooropa.)
9. Under a Blood Red Sky
(Live album)
8. Boy
(Great debut)
7. How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
(Great late work.)
6. War
(I didn’t come to the first three albums until years after I started listening.)
5. All That You Can’t Leave Behind
(A return to form after the weird 90s stuff.)
4. The Unforgettable Fire
(I always forget this one exists, but it is top U2)
3. Achtung Baby
(College days for me)
2. Rattle and Hum
(My first U2)
1. The Joshua Tree
(Masterpeice)
