Topic: Gothic IV

The churchyard was dark and abandoned
A fact he didn’t notice as he approached and tried the south door.
The churchyard was dark and abandoned
He turned, skirted some headstones and wished he had brought a companion
The nave door too was locked, so he circled to far façade. No door.
Without thought he followed further but the path veered away, in… north
The graveyard was dark and abandoned

He turned around
Even in the light this place was eerie
He heard a sound
A crack, a branch, a step? It was quite loud
He retraced his steps his vision bleary
That this the right path was he was leery
His bearing wound

Again, around

Was that a clown?
